Responsibilities

Duties: The Electrical Design Engineer at CNH Industrial America LLC in Oak Brook, IL will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating embedded electronic products, assemblies, systems, and processes from concept through production stage, and performing modifications, as required. The job responsibilities will include researching, developing, and evaluating design concepts including materials, specifications, equipment, and machines. Evaluating new and existing circuits for appropriate functionality and the ability to pass electrical qualification tests. Utilizing simulation software and proof-of-concept prototypes to validate new circuits and subsystems. Performing hardware validation, driver development, and support manufacturing programming through test flows. Regulating purpose, application, and feasibility of new or enhancement of existing products or processes. Creating and updating documentation for designs, and all phases of the project. Participating in reviews of schematics, layout, IO selection, and hardware requirements for others in the team. Working with external customers, distributors, vendors, or suppliers to initiate new designs and solve problems. Coordinating engineering efforts and provide engineering assistance to internal teams or external customers. Maintaining new developments within engineering design, methods, and applications. Providing and assisting with training requirements as it relates to new or existing products or processes. Telecommuting is permitted up to 3 days per week. Salary: $118,200-$145,200/year.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field plus 5 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or related occupation. The 5 years of experience must include 5 years of experience with each of the following: 1) CAD tools; 2) researching materials for design concepts and creating production intent modification for BOM usage; 3) HMI controls or electromechanical switching technology; 4) documenting all phases of designs and projects, including creation of product specifications and DVPs for validation; and 5) coordinating with cross-functional internal teams along with external customers or suppliers.
